All who came out to the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum on Saturday, March 24, had a great time Scavenging for Shamrock! Two Girl Scout troops, along with WDCAAmembers and friends, as well as a Clemson collegian and her mother, supported the prevention of child abuse by participating in the WDCAA's largest philanthropy of the year.

Sisters, friend and Girl Scouts turned out to the Air & Space Museum to participate in a scavenger search, hunting for answers to questions about exhibits scattered throughout the museum, with youth and adult winners receiving prizes for their efforts. Additionally, two Girl Scouts were awarded "Spirit Prizes" for wearing the most Shamrock Spirit.

After the event, nearby McFadden's Restaurant hosted a celebration with discounted drinks and food. The WDCAA raised approximately $1,400 to support child abuse prevention programs, including a sizeable donation to Northern Virginia's own The Alternative House. Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to all those sisters, friend and Girls Scouts who participated in a very successful Shamrock 2007!
